Strategic Partners

A core part of our mission is to create opportunities to collaborate with individuals, organizations and businesses in our community. We are honored to partner with and receive support from several key organizations, including the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Ringling College of Art + Design, University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee, New College of Florida, State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota, Sarasota County Schools and Suncoast Technical College.

Booker Promise Foundation is very proud of its partnerships with these fine organizations – without whose support, our work would be impossible.

Community Foundation

Since its founding by the Southwest Florida Estate Planning Council in 1979, the Community Foundation of Sarasota County has been making the important connection between individuals’ personal memories, passions and dreams, and the fulfillment of their charitable goals.

By actively listening to the desires of its donors, we help create permanent charitable funds that ensure people of vision have an enduring impact on our community and the causes they hold dear. Our motto — “Be the One” — reflects the foundation’s deeply-held belief that anyone can be a philanthropist and give back to our community, regardless of means.

Ringling College of Art and Design, a world-renowned art college, is poised to be THE preeminent art and design college worldwide.  Since 1931, Ringling College of Art and Design has cultivated the creative spirit in students from around the globe. The private, not-for-profit, fully accredited college offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in eleven disciplines and the Bachelor of Arts in two. The College’s rigorous curriculum employs the studio model of teaching and immediately engages students through a comprehensive program that is both specific to the major of study and focused on the liberal arts. The Ringling College teaching model ultimately shapes students into highly employable and globally aware artists and designers.

With a steadfast commitment to student success, the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus provides a dynamic learning environment and student experience for those who seek to improve their lives and the lives of others through the power of education.

With a total enrollment of 800 to 850 students and a student-to-faculty ratio of 10:1, New College offers a personal and collaborative learning environment, where faculty and students engage in in-depth exploration of ideas and subject matter, and where students have the freedom to chart their own academic course.

As the State of Florida’s legislatively-designated “honors college for the liberal arts,” New College is the only public college or university in the state whose sole mission is to provide an undergraduate education of the highest caliber to leading students from around the country. Located on a beautiful 110-acre campus on sunny Sarasota Bay, New College provides an ideal learning environment for intellectually curious, motivated students who thrive on active learning and are drawn to an intellectually rigorous curriculum. Year after year, New College faculty and students garner top prizes and awards. Our student-centered academic mission consistently attracts high rankings from the most prestigious organizations. We are recognized by the Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities (HACU) as an Associate Member Institution because at least 10% of our current students identify as Hispanic. Our alumnae earn distinctions in the workplace, contribute to scientific advancement and make contributions to public service and global change.
