Booker Promise Foundation Appoints Earl Young as President and CEO

Booker Promise Foundation, a leading organization dedicated to empowering Booker High School students with essential skills and resources for post-secondary success, has named Earl Young as its new president and CEO. With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Young brings valuable expertise to lead the Foundation’s mission of providing students with the essential skills and resources needed for postsecondary success. 

Driven by a deep dedication to education, Young has a strong track record, securing substantial contributions, operating scholarship and grant programs, and providing invaluable guidance to thousands in need. His background in strategic planning, finance, and operations enables him to implement transformative initiatives, driving organizational growth and leaving a lasting impact. Young’s dedication to empowering young individuals to achieve their fullest academic and personal potential is evident throughout his career.

During his tenure as manager of Scholarships and Special Initiatives at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Young spearheaded the foundation’s multi-million-dollar scholarship program and contributed significantly to the program’s impressive growth. As a college success coach at Take Stock in Children, Young dedicated his expertise to providing students with career planning, post-secondary advising, and essential life readiness skills. He played a pivotal role in introducing career explorations, leadership opportunities, and innovative experiential learning experiences while fostering essential partnerships with donors, local youth-serving organizations, businesses, and community leaders.
