The Impact of Mentoring

Helen’s mentor has been a pillar of support, offering guidance in both academic and personal matters. “My mentor listens without judgment and connects me to resources when needed,” she says. “This relationship is for life, and I’m eternally grateful to Booker Promise for this invaluable connection.”

The Lasting Value of Booker Promise

For Helen, the most appreciated aspect of the Booker Promise program is its consistent support and personalized approach. “In college, you often have to seek out opportunities yourself, but Booker Promise brings those opportunities right to you,” she explains. “You’re recognized as a person, not just a student, and that makes all the difference.”

Booker Promise Foundation, a leading organization dedicated to empowering Booker High School students with essential skills and resources for post-secondary success, has named Earl Young as its new president and CEO. With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Young brings valuable expertise to lead the Foundation’s mission of providing students with the essential skills and resources needed for postsecondary success.

The $500,000 grant will fund tuition cost for economically disadvantaged students.
